About
Tim originally trained as an Architect, during his studies he became increasingly interested in the potential of technology to augment the human design process. This interest led him to a research position at the Protospace lab of the Hyperbody Research Group at TU Delft. Following the development of a new collaborative system architecture for Protospace, Tim took up a position at Foster + Partners in London. Whilst at F+P Tim worked on various projects including the design of a new city, the tallest building in the world in construction at the time and Apple's new HQ.
In 2009, Tim joined the exciting new Technologies for Sustainable Built Environments EngD Centre at the University of Reading. He is currently working towards his doctorate to support collaboration in community based systems. He is incurably preoccupied with the idea that it is possible to make work fun by breaking down collaborative projects into smaller component tasks that can be packaged and 'solved' as games. Tim enjoys balancing research with working on challenging competitions, solving complex problems and developing new methods of collaborative working.
Tim is also an experienced lecturer, and seeks to inspire and learn from all those around him.
