About
I am a linguist working in a multi-disciplinary team within the School of Biology, at the University of Reading, UK. My research investigates language variation and change from an evolutionary perspective, using methods traditionally proposed in biology and adapted for language phenomena. Additionally, I also work on projects involving the organisation of spoken grammar and the structuring of information in conversation. My research is funded by the New Zealand Foundation for Research Science and Techonology.
